Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (update)

I have been applying to about 4 jobs a week as a sales associate, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. Thank you in advance. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
