Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Toledo)

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. Thank you in advance. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
