Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be?, software tester here

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. My state says to keep records for a year.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
