Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Portland)

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. I worked as a janitorial supervisor before this. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
