Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Knoxville)

I have been applying to about 16 jobs a week as a quality inspector, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Knoxville, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
