Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be?, graphic designer here

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. This is my first time dealing with any of this. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
