Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - first time posting

I have been applying to about 16 jobs a week as a retail manager, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
