Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - first time posting

I have been applying to about 11 jobs a week as a sales associate, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
