Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Detroit)

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
