Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be?, customer-service rep here

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a customer-service rep, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. Do interviews and workshops count?
