Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Buffalo)

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. Thank you in advance. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
