Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - any advice?

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a forklift operator, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I worked as a forklift operator before this. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. Do interviews and workshops count?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
