Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? (Albuquerque)

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
