Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? after 4 years as a welding apprentice

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. It has been a long 24 weeks. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. Do interviews and workshops count?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
