Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? after 15 years as an administrative assistant

I have been applying to about 15 jobs a week as an administrative assistant, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
