Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? after 13 years as an electrician's helper

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. Has anyone been audited?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
