Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? after 12 years as a warehouse supervisor

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?
