Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be?

I have been applying to about 12 jobs a week as a school bus driver, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
