Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - 6 months and counting

I have been applying to about 9 jobs a week as a home health aide, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
