Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - 3 months and counting

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
