Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - 2 months and counting

I have been applying to about 12 jobs a week as an office manager, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
