Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - 2 months and counting

I have been applying to about 5 jobs a week as a marketing coordinator, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
