Work-search log: how detailed does it need to be? - 11 months and counting

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
