What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - what worked for you?

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
