What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as an accountant, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been weighing on me all week. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
