What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 6 jobs a week as a warehouse supervisor, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
