What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 14 jobs a week as a welding apprentice, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
