What counts as a work search for weekly certification? (update)

I have been applying to about 3 jobs a week as an accounts payable clerk, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been weighing on me all week. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
