What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - any advice?

I have been applying to about 9 jobs a week as a barista, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. This is my first time dealing with any of this. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
