What counts as a work search for weekly certification? after 8 years as a sales associate

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. It has been weighing on me all week. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
