What counts as a work search for weekly certification? after 17 years as a security officer

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a security officer, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Memphis, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
