What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - 9 months and counting

I have been applying to about 18 jobs a week as a sales associate, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. My state says to keep records for a year.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
