What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - 26 weeks in

I have been applying to about 8 jobs a week as a machine operator, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been a long 26 weeks. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
