What counts as a work search for weekly certification? - 12 months and counting

The certification asks how many work-search activities I did and I do not know what qualifies. I worked as a nurse's aide before this. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
