Waiting 7 weeks on my first unemployment payment (update)

I was laid off as a data-entry clerk and filed right away, and I have been certifying every week. I worked as a data-entry clerk before this. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
