Waiting 4 weeks on my first unemployment payment - 5 months and counting

I applied for unemployment in Detroit 4 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Is there a step I could have missed?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Check the messages section of your claim, not just the dashboard. That is where my request for more information was hiding.
