Waiting 26 weeks on my first unemployment payment - 26 weeks in

I applied for unemployment in San Diego 26 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take in the end?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
