Waiting 25 weeks on my first unemployment payment after 16 years as a security officer

I applied for unemployment in Milwaukee 25 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take in the end?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
