Waiting 24 weeks on my first unemployment payment - what worked for you?

I applied for unemployment in Raleigh 24 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
