Waiting 24 weeks on my first unemployment payment (Dallas)

I applied for unemployment in Dallas 24 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take in the end?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
