Waiting 21 weeks on my first unemployment payment - what worked for you?

I filed my claim 21 weeks ago after being let go as a machine operator. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. Is there a step I could have missed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
