Waiting 20 weeks on my first unemployment payment, mechanic here

I filed my claim 20 weeks ago after being let go as a mechanic. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
