Waiting 20 weeks on my first unemployment payment - 12 months and counting

I filed my claim 20 weeks ago after being let go as an accounts payable clerk. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. Is there a step I could have missed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
