Waiting 19 weeks on my first unemployment payment

I filed my claim 19 weeks ago after being let go as a welding apprentice. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. Is there a step I could have missed?

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
