Waiting 18 weeks on my first unemployment payment - any advice?

I filed my claim 18 weeks ago after being let go as an electrician's helper. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Keep certifying every week even while you wait. If they find you eligible, the weeks you certified are the ones that count.
