Waiting 18 weeks on my first unemployment payment - 18 weeks in

I applied for unemployment in Milwaukee 18 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. Thank you in advance. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. Is there a step I could have missed?

Keep certifying every week even while you wait. If they find you eligible, the weeks you certified are the ones that count.

Mine took about 18 weeks because of an identity check I did not notice. Look for a message or a letter you may have missed in your online account.
