Wage reporting when hours change weekly - what worked for you?

I picked up part-time shifts as an accountant and I am confused about how to report them. Thank you in advance. Sometimes my paycheck is late by a week. Who can I ask without risking my claim?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
