Told I owe money back on my benefits - what worked for you?

After 18 weeks of benefits I got a notice saying I must repay some of it. I cannot afford to repay it all at once.

Read the letter for the appeal deadline and act on it, even if you think you will end up repaying. Then ask about a payment plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
