Told I owe money back on my benefits, bookkeeper here

After 8 weeks of benefits I got a notice saying I must repay some of it. I cannot afford to repay it all at once. Has anyone disputed one of these?

Read the letter for the appeal deadline and act on it, even if you think you will end up repaying. Then ask about a payment plan.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
