Stuck on identity verification for my claim

I was asked to verify my identity and the site keeps rejecting my photo ID. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The in-person office has long lines. Do I need an appointment?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Check the list of accepted documents on the official site. Mine included things I did not expect, like a passport card.
